Elle is a Senior Mental Health Occupational Therapist with over twelve years of experience supporting adolescents and adults to navigate complex mental health challenges and build meaningful, fulfilling lives.
Elle provides comprehensive occupational therapy assessment and intervention for individuals aged 13–64 years. She is known for her warm, compassionate, and approachable style, and places strong value on developing genuine therapeutic relationships where clients feel safe, understood, and respected. Elle creates a welcoming environment that supports openness and collaboration, and she actively encourages involvement from families, carers, and other key supports as part of a holistic approach to care.
Elle completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Monash University and went on to specialise further with a Master of Youth Mental Health from the University of Melbourne. Her career spans over a decade across public and private mental health services, including roles within non-government organisations, private practice, and Victorian Public Mental Health Services. She has extensive experience working across inpatient, residential, and community settings, supporting clients with a wide range of mental health needs.
In addition to her clinical work, Elle is currently the Manager of the Youth Mental Health Team at Monash Health and a Teaching Associate within the Department of Psychiatry at Monash University. These roles reflect her strong commitment to clinical excellence and expertise in the field.
Elle has undertaken advanced training in a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Good Psychiatric Management (GPM) for Borderline Personality Disorder, and sensory modulation. She has also completed further study in developmental psychiatry and is trained in autism assessment, including administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2).
Elle has a particular interest in functional capacity and sensory-based assessment. She is highly skilled in completing functional capacity assessments to support independence, participation, and access to appropriate supports, such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Her sensory profile assessments help clients better understand and regulate their nervous systems, enhancing emotional wellbeing, relationships, and day-to-day functioning.
Elle welcomes referrals for individuals requiring thoughtful, evidence-based, and person-centred occupational therapy support. She is passionate about empowering clients to build skills, confidence, and a stronger sense of self in their recovery journey.
Outside of her professional role, Elle enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog, and visiting the beaches of the Mornington Peninsula.
