Alessandra completed a Master of Occupational Therapy from Flinders University in 2013 and is registered under AHPRA. She is an Endorsed Better Access to Mental Health clinician and holds membership with Occupational Therapy Australia.
She has professional clinical experience in mental health and addiction across public and private sectors in acute inpatient, day outpatient programs, and community health.
Alessandra has an interest in substance use disorders and neurodiverse conditions, in particular attention deficit disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Her practice is guided by a compassionate, holistic, trauma-informed approach. She values strengths based collaboration to foster trust in the therapeutic relationship, with the aim to empower clients to grow and reach their potential.
Alessandra has post graduate formal training in various evidence-based modalities which she draws from for group programs and individual therapy. These include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She also completes Occupational Therapy Functional Capacity Assessments and Sensory Profile Assessments for NDIS participants.
